Niccolò Machiavelli was a very important figure in leading the charge of secular humanism and being a true humanist himself. Niccolò however was also a politician and diplomat for the Florentine Republic when the famous Medici were not in power. He was a small writer based in Florence that eventually let him be a philosopher and humanist. His political ties also helped him create the base of modern political science. His ideas of humanism included the combination of old ideas from the roman era in a whole new that that has elevated the mean of it in politics and religion. He encouraged people to try new things and to not be held back by the old restrictions and most importantly led the Florentine Republic to establish order and laws by its people.
Albert Einstein is one of the most famous people to ever be on planet earth having founded both theories of general and special relativity. However Albert on the other hand was also a humanist who used these ideas to push forward his humanist thoughts. Although a brilliant scientist he also wanted to achieve peace for humanity as he did not want the complete and utter destruction of humanity through weapons he himself were involved in creating. In the process of doing so he was creating a legacy that will last for generation to come having children recognize what extent he has gone to have the world at peace. Trying to sign treaties to abolish nuclear weapons echoed the importance of people opposing their government when their doing something wrong, but most importantly believed that everyone is fee and has to embrace the ideals of freedom.
